   TRAINING ON THE SPOT

Managing Director Waste Resources, Ian Hammond, receiving his course certificates from
Jean Gonsalves, Executive Director Actionwise.

Actionwise have been assisting their Client, Mr. Ian Hammond, the Executive Director of Waste Resources, in establishing his own in-house training centres, one being in their offices in Honeydew and the other in Richards Bay. The most effective and cost saving method of training all your staff, from Management down to the cleaner, is to have your own in-house trainer and training centre.

The cost of establishing the centre is minimal, the savings on training amazing, and the fact that training is conducted throughout the day for all staff who are on different courses has made a major change to the Company morale and productivity.

Training is not just a buzz word, or something to do because the Government or some other authority says you have to. Training builds the team. No matter what the course, it all aligns perfectly with the policy of the Company. Once everyone has been through the basic Company courses they fully understand their position in the company, their own and their colleagues’ jobs and can really contribute to their own expansion and that of the Company.

In the past two months there have been 4 course completions, covering Middle Management, and Junior Staff. Literacy levels are also being addressed and swift progress is being made using the Hubbard Educational methods.

Management feed back has been:

  • an increase in efficiency levels.
  • communication with upper management has greatly improved.
  • staff taking more responsibility for their jobs
  • generally happier in the work environment and a much calmer place to work in.

You don't need a fancy establishment to set up an in-house training facility. One small area designated as the training area, a trainer who will not take longer than 40 hours to train, the course materials, a license to operate and you can deliver more than 26 courses to as many staff as you have. The pass rate for any student is 100% application, so results are assured.

Training your staff is an investment - why wait?
